Niceville, Florida officer used Flock camera network to stalk fellow officer, harass spouse

On October 10, 2025, the Niceville Police Department in Florida arrested Officer Coty Wayne Hall after an internal audit covering January through October 2025 found he had made nearly 200 unauthorized searches of the department's Flock Safety license-plate-reader network and other restricted law-enforcement databases, using the results to track and harass a fellow officer and that officer's spouse. Hall was charged with violating Florida Statute 815.06(2)(a), covering unauthorized computer access, and the City of Niceville fired him after the allegations became public.
