How to Submit Tips
Standing Record accepts tips and corrections from the public about anti-democratic actions and institutional abuses. Here's how to submit:
Submission channels
- Email: tips@standingrecord.com (anonymous-friendly)
- Codeberg: Open an issue on our public repository
What we accept
- Information sourced entirely from publicly available material (news articles, public records, official statements, video, etc.)
- Corrections to existing entries
- Examples of anti-democratic actions or abuses that fit our taxonomy
What we don't accept
- Attachments or confidential documents
- Whistleblower information or leaked materials
- Rumors or unverified claims
- Information available only through private channels
Important
All tips become public Codeberg issues. We work transparently—your submission (minus any identifying details you want removed) will be publicly visible as we research and verify it.
Code of Conduct
Standing Record is committed to providing a welcoming and harassment-free experience for everyone. We adopt the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
Our Standards
Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:
- Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people
- Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
- Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback
- Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes
Examples of unacceptable behavior include:
- The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing others' private information without their explicit permission
Enforcement
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported to tips@standingrecord.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. The full code of conduct is available in our repository.
