FBI-led task force with ICE, local police raided Wilder, Idaho racetrack; detained ~400 including citizens, children with flash-bangs, rubber bullets
On October 19, 2025, more than 200 federal, state, and local officers raided La Catedral racetrack in Wilder, Idaho, detaining roughly 400 attendees -- including U.S. citizens and children -- for about four hours. Officers zip-tied detainees at gunpoint and used flash-bang grenades and rubber bullets, including on occupied vehicles. DHS credited ICE with leading the operation, but the Canyon County sheriff and Caldwell police chief called that "completely false," saying the FBI's Metro Violent Crime and Gang Task Force -- of which local agencies are longstanding members -- led a gambling-warrant operation, with ICE present only to process detainees' immigration status.
