Idaho
Entries whose effect landed somewhere in Idaho (ID) — a city, a county, a campus, a detention facility — whichever government acted. Federal conduct inside Idaho counts here.
This is not the same set as Idaho's jurisdiction page, which records the 27 entries where Idaho's own government was the acting authority, wherever those events happened. The two overlap and neither contains the other: place and power are separate facts, and statewide acts appear there and not here.

Canyon County, Idaho probation office compiled 82-name foreign-born list, disclosed it to ICE for enforcement targeting
On June 5, 2026, Jeff Breach, director of Canyon County, Idaho's Misdemeanor Probation Department, directed staff to review their caseloads and compile a list of probationers born outside the United States for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Boise field office. Over 140 emails obtained by InvestigateWest show the resulting 82-name list swept in people with no evidence of immigration violations -- more than half on probation for DUI and only seven with an existing ICE hold -- while officers separately coordinated ICE arrests staged at probationers' scheduled appointments.

USDA official pressed Forest Service for extra aircraft to fight small fire near his own ranch
Michael Boren, the USDA Under Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment who oversees the U.S. Forest Service, repeatedly called regional and national Forest Service offices on July 12, 2026 to press for more aircraft on the 7-acre Cabin Creek Fire burning near his own Hell Roaring Ranch in Idaho's Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Six current and former Forest Service officials told the Washington Post the resulting response -- nine aircraft costing over $100,000 -- exceeded what a fire of that size typically draws, during a period of high national fire preparedness when other fires were competing for the same aircraft. USDA said Boren is expected to have regular contact with the agencies he oversees and denied he "pressured leadership or ordered more resources."
