Sandy Springs, Ga. reserve sergeant terminated for misusing Flock cameras to benefit private company
Sandy Springs, Georgia terminated reserve Sgt. Francis Esposito, effective August 20, 2025, after an internal affairs investigation found he used his department Flock Safety license-plate-reader login to run searches connected to Signal 8, a startup he separately worked for, and failed to cooperate with investigators. The department's termination letter cited abuse of position and authority; Signal 8 denies receiving any Flock data from Esposito, and the case has been referred to Georgia's Peace Officer Standards and Training Council.
