ICE and CBP agents fired three shots at Francisco Longoria's truck during a warrantless San Bernardino stop
On August 16, 2025, ICE and CBP agents in unmarked vehicles stopped Francisco Longoria's work truck in San Bernardino without a warrant or identification, smashed both side windows, and fired three rounds at the vehicle as Longoria drove away in fear for his life. No one was struck. CBP's own use-of-force policy prohibits shooting at a vehicle merely fleeing agents absent a reasonable belief that deadly force is being used against them or others. Longoria's family later sued the government over the shooting as part of a documented pattern of ICE and CBP use-of-force incidents.
